Do you have a storefront? YES! We are located in the Carytown shopping district at 3324-B W. Cary Street (intersection of Cary and Crenshaw). There is a free parking deck on Crenshaw.
Are you part of a franchise? No, we are not part of a franchise. We are locally owned and operated. Babycakes began as a home-based bakery in 2008. We moved to the Carytown storefront in August 2010.
Do you have a minimum order requirement? Yes. All pre-orders require a one dozen minimum (one flavor per dozen). To find out more about placing an order, click here.
Do you ship your baked goods by mail? Not at this time.
Do you deliver? YES! We deliver to locations within the Richmond metropolitan area. Delivery orders require 48 hours advance notice. All deliveries will be made between 12:00 and 5:30 p.m. Someone must be available to accept delivery.
Do you offer flavors that are not on your menu? We offer the flavors that are listed on our menu and introduce new flavors on a frequent basis. Some flavors included on our menu are only offered seasonally.
How do I store my cupcakes to keep them fresh? It is best to eat cupcakes on the day they are purchased because they are made with natural, preservative-free ingredients. If you plan to keep your cupcakes longer, they should be stored at room temperature in an air-tight container.
Do you do custom decorations on cupcakes? We do offer decorative options such as a sugar design topping in a variety of shapes to personalize your treats for special occasions. Because we focus more attention to providing the best taste experience, our custom decorations are minimal. Custom decorations are additional and the price is added per cupcake. Do your cupcakes contain dairy, sugar, or nuts? Yes. Babycakes bakes all of our goods from scratch using natural ingredients including flour, dairy, and sugar. Some items are also baked with fruit, pecans, peanuts, and walnuts. Babycakes is not recommended for individuals with gluten or nut allergies.
Do you use lard or vegetable shortening? No, we do not.
Do your cupcakes contain trans fats? Our baked goods do not contain trans fats.
